Overview
Subdivision splits one parcel into several plots, for sale, inheritance or development. Amalgamation does the opposite and merges two or more neighbouring parcels into a single title, often to make room for a larger development.
Both need careful survey work and approval from the right authorities. We prepare the scheme plan and mutation forms, survey and beacon the new plots, and follow the application through the planning and survey offices until the new parcels can be registered.

Frequently asked questions
How long does land subdivision take in Kenya?
It depends on the county, the type of land and how quickly approvals come through. We give you a realistic timeline after reviewing your title and the land, and keep you updated at each stage.
Do I need Land Control Board consent to subdivide?
Agricultural land generally needs Land Control Board consent for subdivision and transfers. We tell you which consents apply to your land and help you prepare for them.
Can you subdivide land that is still under one family title?
Yes. Family and succession subdivisions are common. Once the legal ownership is in order, we can prepare the survey and mutation for each beneficiary's share.
